Special Interest Housing
Explain what it is. Describe the benefits of living on an SIH over living on a normal dorm floor or in an apartment, such as the living environment and family atmosphere. Talk about the differences between SIHs, including the histories, traditions and special rooms unique to each. Elaborate on how you can become a member.

Hasn't the Reporter already done multiple pieces on SIH?
If this does end up making the issue, I would say keep it balanced. Include pros AND cons, not just a glowing review of how every who's not in SIH is missing out. -

Hmm, well, while it's true that Reporter has definitely put out PR pieces in the past, they are never really PLANNED that way from the start.
I think this piece could still work, though. There would have to be an angle -- I'd actually like to see a infographic showing how many students belong to each house, or maybe have a chart showing how many kids are rejected from CSH every year?

If you don't want it, then don't vote for it. I'm sure more people read the reporter than some obscure website. Besides, it's not like the Reporter hasn't done PR pieces for other organizations in the past.

Since I don't live in SIH, I would be interested in this. In response to other comments, perhaps the article could be a little more balanced than stated in the description to include the negative aspects of SIH and the benefits of other housing options.

Oh, you mean rewrite the thing they send you in the mail when you get accepted to RIT? I don't think so.

Why would RIT want to read this? It sounds like a public relations piece where special interest houses are going to talk about how awesome they are.
